British GRI conference secures Renshaw Bay founder Bill Winters as keynote speaker

GRI, the global club of senior real estate investors, developers and lenders, is finalising the discussion chairs for this year’s British event at the end of April, for which Renshaw Bay founder Bill Winters has been confirmed as conference keynote speaker.

British GRI 2014 logoThis year’s two-day conference, on 29-30 April at Softel St. James hotel near Charing Cross in London, offers a comprehensive set of Chatham House-governed discussions on the major themes in UK and European real estate investment and finance with fellow senior industry professionals.

Among the confirmed UK-focused discussions are:

  • Foreign Investors in the UK – What locations and assets? The discussion will be led by Gaw Capital Partners’ Humbert Pang and ABP China Holding Group’s Xu WeiPing;
  • Financing in the UK: High competition but will there be “new kids on the block”? The discussion will be led by Pricoa Mortgage Capital’s Drew Abernethy, LaSalle’s Michael Zerda, Starwood’s Peter Denton and Urban Exposure’s Randeesh Sandhu;
  • European NPLs: What is in the pipeline? Where are the potential hotspots? RBS’ Rajesh Sivaraman and Kennedy Wilson’s Fiona D’Silva will co-chair the discussion.

In an interview with GRI ahead of this April’s British GRI conference, keynote speaker and founder of Renshaw Bay Bill Winters said the global economy is in the midst of a long period of “unexciting growth without collapse”.

He told GRI: “Deleveraging continues with potential growth for an extended period. We’ve had it for 6-7 years and we probably have another 3-4 years to go.”
